Board Academy’s surf camps take place on the stunning Greek island of Limnos, located in the northern Aegean Sea. This peaceful, windswept island is a hidden gem — offering golden beaches, crystal-clear water, and the perfect conditions for water sports.
Limnos is one of Greece’s least crowded and most naturally preserved islands — perfect for an adventure-focused camp. Known for its wide, sandy beaches, calm shallow bays, and steady wind conditions, the island is ideal for kitesurfing, windsurfing, SUP, and kayaking.
Beyond the beach, Limnos offers:
-Traditional villages and local cuisine
-Volcanic rock formations and sand dunes
-A relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere
-Authentic Greek island culture without the crowds
It’s the ultimate playground for kids and teens to enjoy nature, try new sports, and create lifelong memories.
For Campers Traveling from Bulgaria
Most participants from Bulgaria travel as a group, accompanied by our team.
Step 1: Travel from Sofia to Kavala (by car/van)
We depart from Sofia in the early morning and travel by highway to the Greek port city of Kavala. The drive takes approximately 4 hours including rest stops.
Step 2: Ferry from Kavala to Limnos
From Kavala, we board a ferry to Limnos, a journey of about 4.5 hours depending on the ferry schedule.
Step 3: Transfer from Myrina to Lichna Bay
Upon arrival at the port in Myrina (the capital of Limnos), we take a short 20-minute drive to our base at Lichna Bay, where the campers will spend most of their time.
For Campers Traveling from Abroad
